Full Rooster - Hand Painted Art Tile
$45.95For this design I had to run out in my backyard and try and follow around one of our fast-moving Bantam Roosters. He would never sit still and pose for me but I was able to still glimpse flashes of his beautiful greenish- blue iridescent hued black feathers he had on his perky curved tail. Actually he was like a rainbow of colors one merging into the other – what a work of art. This tile is hand painted the same way where one color glaze merges into the next one.

Dragonfly - Hand Painted Art Tile
$45.95We live on 5 acres with a large pond with an island in it. Every summer there are hundreds of iridescent dragonflies that swoop down to the pond and land on the cattails. I would just go right up to them and take a good look at their most magnificent intricately webbed wings. I feel I have captured their elegance and translucent color scheme in this tile design, one of my favorites.

Mermaid - Hand Painted Art Tile
$45.95These mythological aquatic creatures have a human head with the torso of a woman and the tail of a fish. Derived from the old English word for sea (mer) and for a woman (maid) these legendary sirens of the sea are known to sing to sailors to enchant them. They are widely represented in literature and folklore and remain popular in our culture today. I perched my little blonde mermaid on a rock overlooking the sea.

San Juan Capistrano Mission - Hand Painted Art Tile
$45.95Mission San Juan Capistrano was a Spanish mission in Southern California, located in present-day San Juan Capistrano. It was founded on All Saints Day November 1, 1776, by Spanish Catholics of the Franciscan Order. Named for Giovanni da Capistrano, a 15th century theologian and "warrior priest" who resided in the Abruzzo region of Italy, San Juan Capistrano has the distinction of being home to the oldest building in California still in use, a chapel built in 1782.

Sea Otter and Pup - Hand Painted Art Tile
$45.95Now I have first- hand experience with these guys! Along the California coast near Monterey I was able to put in my kayak and paddle amongst the kelp beds and saw several pods of sea otters floating atop the water. Some of them even had little pups on top of their stomachs as they floated on their backs in the water. They like to entangle themselves in the kelp beds to help anchor them. I saw and heard one of them using a rock to hit a mussel in order to open and eat it. They are considered an endangered species and have a very limited habitat.
