Ladybug - Hand Painted Art Tile
$45.95I just think that Lady bugs are the cutest little bug there is – nothing icky at all about them and I love their beautiful “shell” color. They are like a little red jewel twinkling in the garden and besides that they eat aphids and bad buggies that hurt the plants! My sweet little lady bug tile has a beautiful red color too!

Penguin & Baby - Hand Painted Art Tile
$45.95The Emperor Penguins are the tallest and heaviest of all penguins (4 foot tall and 50 -99 lbs). They are the only penguin who breeds during the Antarctic Winter. They trek up to 75 miles over ice to mate and feed their offspring. They withstand temperatures of -40o F and winds of 89mph. The male incubates the sole egg for two months straight without eating anything @ all while the female returns to the sea to feed. Both the male and female lose 60% of their body weight while raising their offspring. Their fuzzy chick is covered with silvery grey down feathers to keep him cozy!

Blue Crab - Hand Painted Art Tile
$45.95The Atlantic Blue Crab is the most common invertebrate in the Western Atlantic found from New England down to Florida. It might be common but I think it is beautiful with its stone-like blue tones and bright red colored accents – an artist’s delight.

Quail - Hand Painted Art Tile
$45.95These Gambel quail are always running at high speed across our dirt road to their hiding place in our prickly blackberry bushes when we pass by. I love seeing them in the Spring when Mama quail and her tiny little flock of baby chicks are following her single file across the road. Their feet move so fast that they become a blur as they speed by! I livened up the design by adding some red Poppies in the background.

Monarch Butterfly - Hand Painted Art Tile
$45.95Doesn’t everyone have some of these little orange beauties fluttering around their gardens in the summertime? I discovered they fly southward from Canada down to California taking advantage of the “thermal “warm air currents that help transport them down here in only 3 days. They follow their source of food the milkweed plants where they also lay their eggs. In Spring they migrate back up North again – the only insects to make both a North and South migration. I enjoy the varied colors and markings on their wings and their overall graceful and delicate design.

Red Crab - Hand Painted Art Tile
$45.95This is my Red Crab...There is the famous Dungeness Red Crab of Washington’s Olympic Peninsula and then there is the equally famous Alaskan King Crab which they catch off the Aleutian Islands in Winter. There is also the Atlantic Red Crab from the coast of Maine down to the Gulf of Mexico. And finally there is the Pacific Red Crab which lives alongside the other red and Rock crabs on the Pacific Coast.

Sahuaro Cactus
$45.95I lived in Tucson Arizona for many years and these magnificent tree-sized plants add a supernatural quality to the already "other worldly" landscape there. They are especially awesome to see at night when the moon casts shadows of them onto the desert floor.

Poppies - Hand Painted Art Tile
$45.95The snow capped mountains, the intense blue skyline, the overriding tan and sandy desert tones and then there is a hill of bright green from the Spring rains. The annual show of desert wildflowers cover the landscape. These red poppies are moving faintly in the warm spring winds.
