Red Crab - Hand Painted Art Tile
$45.95This is my Red Crab...There is the famous Dungeness Red Crab of Washington’s Olympic Peninsula and then there is the equally famous Alaskan King Crab which they catch off the Aleutian Islands in Winter. There is also the Atlantic Red Crab from the coast of Maine down to the Gulf of Mexico. And finally there is the Pacific Red Crab which lives alongside the other red and Rock crabs on the Pacific Coast.

Black & White Cat - Hand Painted Art Tile
$45.95I call this my “Van Gough” Tuxedo Cat because the iris flowers in the background remind me of one of Van Gough’s famous paintings. Such a cute face – it’s hard to believe they really do look like that!

Mermaid - Hand Painted Art Tile
$45.95These mythological aquatic creatures have a human head with the torso of a woman and the tail of a fish. Derived from the old English word for sea (mer) and for a woman (maid) these legendary sirens of the sea are known to sing to sailors to enchant them. They are widely represented in literature and folklore and remain popular in our culture today. I perched my little blonde mermaid on a rock overlooking the sea.

Garlic - Hand Painted Art Tile
$45.95The truth be that we were trying to get accepted into the famous Garlic Festival in California and so I did a garlic design to increase our chances of getting into the show with our tiles. I couldn’t find a suitable picture of a garlic clove so I used one fresh one right out of my kitchen and it is amazing all the nuances of color that I found on that one little clove. It is my “plein air” garlic clove!
